What happens in a 3-day free hifz trial

Booking the trial

You book by sending the enrollment form. Tell us about the student: age, how well they read Arabic from the mushaf, anything already memorized, and the days and time that suit your family. We teach 24/7, so you can ask for early-morning, after-school or late-evening slots in your own time zone.

The form also has a teacher preference field. Female and male hifz teachers are available 24/7, so you can ask for a female teacher, a male teacher, or leave it open. Our team then contacts you to set the trial days and time.

What you need for the first class

• A laptop, tablet or desktop with a camera and microphone
• A steady internet connection
• A quiet spot where the student can sit and recite without interruptions
• For a child, a parent nearby for the first few minutes

The teacher shares the Quran page on screen, so the student reads from the screen and does not need a printed mushaf to start.

Day 1: meeting the teacher and hearing the student

The first class is about getting to know the student. The teacher listens to them read, notes how fluent and accurate the reading is, and checks anything they have already memorized. For a beginner, this tells the teacher whether to start memorizing straight away or spend some time on reading first.

It is also the first look at the class itself: the teacher and student see each other on video, the page is on screen, and the teacher corrects as the student recites.

Day 2: a first sabaq

On the second day the student usually works on a short new lesson (sabaq). The teacher reads it, the student repeats line by line, and the teacher corrects pronunciation and flow until the lines are steady. This shows how the student memorizes and how many lines feel comfortable in one sitting.

Our hifz memorization plans page lists common starting paces, from 3 to 5 lines for many young children up to a page for experienced students.

Day 3: revision and a plan

The third class checks what stayed. The student recites the earlier lesson back (the first taste of sabqi revision), and the teacher sees how well it held overnight. From the three days together the teacher can suggest a starting pace, a class time that works, and how sabaq, sabqi and manzil will be balanced. Read more about sabaq, sabqi and manzil.

These are typical steps rather than a fixed script. The teacher adjusts the three days to the student in front of them.

Questions to ask during the trial

• What starting pace do you suggest, and why?
• How will each class be split between new lesson and revision?
• What should we do at home between classes?
• How will I know how my child is progressing week by week?
• Can the class time move if our school or work hours change?

If you are still comparing programs, our list of 10 questions to ask before choosing hifz classes online covers the rest.

After the trial

If the teacher and routine feel right, you continue on our Monday–Friday plan at $40 a month (USD), with the class time you chose. Weekend and other schedules are custom and discussed with our team. See hifz classes fees for details. If it does not feel right, you are free to stop after the three days.
